Mary Webster--Miniature Stock #14 EBONIZED RIPPLE
Circa 1850


  • Nice little ebonized ripple with a ripple liner, a miniature frame in its original size. The original dark surface is painted in shades of black and red to imitate the tortoise shells surfaces of the 17th Century Dutch frames. The frame has an early brass hanging hook. The outside edges are painted matte black.

  • Sight size 3 3/8"H x 2 3/4"W
  • Overall size 7 1/4"H x 6 1/2"W
  • Condition: very good with age appropriate wear. A bit of gesso missing in two of the outside corners,which is visible in the photos; also two small pieces visible on the inside edge of the top sight edge, not visible when the frame is viewed face on.
